of Information and Decision Management
We offer a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Computer Information System (CIS), and a MBA with an emphasis in CIS.
The Department of IDM in the College of Business offers coursework in information systems, business
quantitative methods, and decision support. Our programs provide a strong foundation
in business fundamentals and strategies, and managerial issues related to information
technologies. Special interest is given to emerging technologies and their role
as facilitators of strategic advantage in the marketplace.
We offer students comprehensive education in information and decision management including:

- Web-based Application Development
- Database Management
- Data Warehousing
- User Interface Design and Data Visualization
CIS majors differ from computer science majors in emphasizing applications of computer systems
over their development and analysis. The applications are focused on complex business
needs in enterprises.
We also offer students education in related information systems areas:

- Artificial Intelligence and Decision Management
- Project Management
- Informatics and E-Medicine
Our hi-tech, hi-touch learning environment provides a rich experience that is not
easily duplicated. We are able to electronically link our students with our computing
resources. Our students are able to have access to the Department’s computing resources
any time and from any where. Our faculty has a rich blend of teaching, research,
and industry expertise, providing students with the conceptual and practical knowledge
necessary to pursue a successful career in information systems development and/or
