John is a visionary with a tactical approach supplemented by a strong customer focus.  He is action oriented, well respected by business associates, peers and direct reports, and has a high degree of Integrity.  John has over 25 years of experience in working in the Government and private sectors for aerospace and manufacturing organizations.  He joined Bell Helicopter in December 2004 when the Amarillo site was just beginning its growth phase driven by a successful operational evaluation of the V22 Osprey.  He was hired to implement and manage the IT infrastructure and application operations necessary to support an expanding assembly and support workforce transitioning from research and development to full rate production.

John came to Bell from Carrier Corporation in Syracuse, NY where he spent 7 years in their corporate IT department.  There he was responsible for global IT infrastructure services related to communications and web services.  While at Carrier he implemented an email upgrade program replacing Lotus Notes with a global implementation of Microsoft Exchange servicing 20,000 clients across 39 countries.  John also managed a team of IT professionals responsible for intranet, internet and extranet web hosting services as well as implementing initial data warehouse services for Carrier.  Prior to Carrier he spent 14 years working for NASA, Johnson Space Center in positions that ranged from propulsion engineering, hardware development configuration management, and information systems customer services.

John graduated in 1987 from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering.  He grew up in Rochester, NY and has previously lived in Houston, TX and Syracuse, NY.  John participates in several community development activities, has served on the Amarillo 2020 Committee and is a former Vice President of the Randall High School Athletic Booster Club.
