What is CIS?

Computer Information Systems (CIS) is a degree major from the College of Business at WTAMU. CIS includes jobs such as network administrators, database administrators, IT security specialist, systems analysts, and developers of software, websites, or mobile devices. In 2012, 100% of the graduating seniors with CIS majors were placed in well-paying jobs—that’s an amazing fact during a recession! Last year the average starting salary for graduating CIS majors was $56,000 with an offer for as high as $100,000.

If you have any questions regarding the CIS Technology or about the CIS major, please contact Dr. Sean Humpherys (shumpherys@wtamu.edu) or Dr. Jeffry Babb (jbabb@wtamu.edu).

Best of success,

CIDM Faculty
