Program assessment is an important component of improving the quality of a business program over time. One key metrics employed by the College of Business is a comprehensive capstone exam employed in the MGT 4315 BBA capstone class. Ninety-four students enrolled in MGT 4315 completed a capstone exit exam covering the basics of accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, business law, ethics, international business, statistics, and information systems on April 18, 2011. The average score on the exam was 70%, which is very high for a comprehensive business capstone exam. Percentile scores demonstrate the rank of one student or program to a peer (e.g., a percentile score of 60 by student X implies she scored higher than 60% of her peers but lower than 40% of her peers). Adjusted aggregate percentile scores for WT students in MGT 4315 reached an all-time high this semester. The aggregate score for WT students was the 45th percentile in 2007, 40th percentile in 2008, 60th percentile in 2009, 65th percentile in 2010, and the 90th percentile in 2011. Congratulations to the spring 2011 MGT 4315 students for their outstanding performance on the comprehensive business core exam.
