Two College of Business students, along with two from the College of Fine Arts and Humanities, have been conducting marketing research for the Terry Fator Show in Las Vegas. Under the direction of Dr. Nick Gerlich, students have conducted man-on-the-street interviews as well as theatre exit interviews. They have used iPads and Qualtrics online surveys as the tools of their trade. MBA student Christie Russell and Marketing major Gina Vigil are representing the College of Business, while Tyler Sweeney and Julia Greif represent the College of Fine Arts and Humanities. On November 15th, Dr. Gerlich and Russell traveled to Las Vegas to present the findings of their August and October data collection trips to Fator management. TerryFator, winner of the 2007 America’s Got Talent competition on NBC, has his own dedicated theatre at the Mirage Hotel and Casino. “These students have been able to get a priceless experience working for a Vegas headliner, “Gerlich said. “Getting to meet Terry Fator and see his show several times is one thing; to have this line on their resumes is quite another,” he added.
